Located in Tucson, Arizona, the University of Arizona was the first public university in the state. Now, with over 43,000 students, it is one of the top research universities with direct connections to local hospitals. Between 1995 and 2000, over 1,200 children in Arizona were diagnosed with cancer. That's 1,200 opportunities for A Moment of Magic to brighten a child's day, and that doesn't include the other thousands of critically ill children.

Here, at the Tucson chapter, one of our main goals is to reach out to children in nearby Mexico. The University of Arizona already has clubs traveling to Mexico to provide medical assistance, which is a perfect opportunity for us to spread some magic with them.

We can't do this alone, we need all the support we can get! If you are interested in helping, please consider donating or contact Camille Mero, U of A chapter President, at merocamille97@gmail.com!

With love from Tucson, Arizona.

Patients were extremely excited to hang out with their favorite princesses! It made their day and provided a lovely distraction from the stressors of the hospital.

A wonderful visit overall and the princesses did a great job of staying in character and engaging in an age appropriate manner with each child.

I wish to express how grateful I was to see a very healthy communication with all family members of ill children, especially siblings.
