Our Mission
Our mission is to restore the magic of believing at a time when a child needs to “just-be-a-kid”
and to remind them to be
BRAVE, STRONG, and FEARLESS!
How?
Our trained college-student volunteers provide high-quality creative programming to children in need. Our free, high-quality programming infuses arts, crafts, music, and literature to create moments of fun and play during otherwise scary and traumatic experiences.

We do this in a few ways:

  • Character Programming - Our trained college-student volunteers transform themselves into fairy-tale princesses, comic-book superheroes, film characters, and even into characters that have been crafted by the children themselves!

  • Athlete Programming - We partner with college and professional athletes to deliver magic to children in need.

  • Magic Maker Programming - Our Magic Makers (volunteers that do not wear costumes) bring magic, joy, and friendship directly to you by leading games, arts and crafts, and other various, engaging activities!

Unfortunately, during the current Covid-19 pandemic, our in-person visits have been canceled out of an abundance of caution for those we serve. Instead, we have a variety of virtual programming, including one-on-one video calls, virtual programming live streams, and more!

Did you know?
Every 60 seconds, a child requires medical care? A Moment of Magic aims to deliver magic to the children in need, all at no cost. We believe that the value of play increases when a child is facing a potentially traumatic experience, as self-image decisively contributes to emotional, mental well-being, self-confidence, and self-esteem. It is our goal to ensure that a child never has to go through their journey without A Moment of Magic.

This is only possible thanks to our superhero volunteers and to your donations.
Help us to continue the magic by volunteering and donating.

A Moment of Magic Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are the original and largest
organization of our kind. We have 25 (and counting!) chapters throughout the country and have
more than 1,000 college student volunteers in our community.

Since 2014 our volunteers have provided programming to 85 hospitals, collaborated with 129
nonprofit organizations and restored the magic into the lives of over 100,000 children worldwide.

We couldn’t have done this without your support
