Stony Brook University

Our Mission

Some goals we would like to accomplish within the first year of our chapter’s inception would include spreading the word about the organization throughout the campus community, raising more than the requested $300 through increased fundraising, recruiting as many members as possible, collaborating with as many clubs and organizations, and establishing contact with local hospitals. We would like to bring awareness of this organization to the existing hospitals both at the campus of Stony Brook University and in the surrounding communities.

Our Vision

Some of our long term goals include setting up a character chapter at our school and working with as many hospitals and/or schools as we can get to in the Suffolk county area. We would like to become a recognized and well-known organization throughout the Stony Brook community, and possibly be able to offer credit and/or internship opportunity to qualifying members of the organization, as this has been done with other organizations at our school. And lastly, it would mean the world to us to be able to help bring together an amazing group of individuals that children always look forward to seeing.

I believe that love is the bravest way to express your strength in the face of your worst fears. I hope that let our team exude love and care within our campus community through our events and collaborations with various organizations and our fundraising efforts.

I am a big foodie, I love trying new foods and creating new recipes. I love food so much that I interned for a company based in New York City called as Luckyrice and helped with their work in gathering the best restaurants in NYC and putting on food festivals throughout the country.

I have always been passionate about helping bring awareness for and raising funds for non-profit organizations as I Co-founded a food pantry (The NEST) at my past institution. I helped raise $10,000 for Camp Kesem just last year in order to help send children with parents suffering from cancer to camp for a week during the summer. I'm hoping to bring that passion to this organization and set the grounds for fundraising parallel to both mine and my team's passion for helping children.
