At A Moment of Magic, we are guided by a passionate team of visionaries, dreamers, and doers who believe in the power of play and the strength of community. Their dedication fuels our programs, supports our volunteers, and ensures that every child we serve feels seen, valued, and celebrated.

Our small but mighty staff brings heart, creativity, and dedication to everything we do. While only one team member serves full time, the rest work between 6–20 hours per week to keep our programs thriving. Together, they ensure every child we serve experiences the joy, magic, and connection they deserve.

In our collaborative approach, we have established a Medical Advisory Committee composed of a diverse array of perspectives — including healthcare professionals, educators, and families directly impacted by our work. This multidisciplinary group brings together mental health professionals, child life specialists, clinicians, social workers, educators, and caregivers to ensure that every aspect of our programming reflects the realities, needs, and lived experiences of those we serve.

The Medical Advisory Committee plays a vital role in shaping and refining our programs, including our Express, Create, Heal initiative, volunteer training curriculum, and psychosocial care practices, ensuring they are evidence-informed, trauma-aware, and developmentally appropriate.

Membership on the committee is dynamic, with professionals and families contributing in both ongoing and project-based capacities to ensure our programs remain responsive and informed by diverse expertise.

This multidisciplinary approach is essential because it bridges the gap between theory and lived experience, creating a feedback loop that keeps our work human-centered, inclusive, and grounded in both compassion and evidence.
