Our 2025 Annual Report: A Future of Care That Is More Human, Hopeful, and Heartfelt

At A Moment of Magic, we believe healing is about more than medical treatment alone. It is about preserving joy in the middle of uncertainty, protecting childhood in environments shaped by fear, and ensuring that children and families feel seen, supported, and connected throughout their care journey.

Today, we are proud to share our 2025 Annual Report, a reflection of the children, families, volunteers, healthcare partners, donors, and supporters who helped make this year possible.

In 2025, together, we:

• Impacted more than 38,805 medically vulnerable children nationwide

• Delivered 538 interactions across hospitals, community settings, and virtual programming

• Expanded hospital partnerships by 42%

• Achieved a 121% year-over-year increase in children reached

• Mobilized 5,150 volunteer hours dedicated to direct care and programming
  

But beyond the numbers are the moments that continue to shape this work.

Moments like Josie, a three-year-old navigating leukemia treatment, who began to associate hospital visits with comfort, imagination, and familiar faces because of the consistent presence of our volunteers. As her mother shared, “Having a familiar, joyful presence during treatment made a real difference in how Josie experienced hospital visits.”

This year also marked significant growth in our vision for the future of psychosocial care.

Through programs like Magic Makers, Express, Create, Heal, and AMoM Unlimited, we continued building scalable, trauma-informed models that extend care beyond clinical walls and into the everyday lives of children and families.

We deepened research and training partnerships, presented at national conferences including the Adolescent & Young Adult Cancer Coalition and Coalition Against Childhood Cancer, and strengthened our role as a leader in dignity-centered, play-based psychosocial support.

At the same time, we remained committed to building sustainably and responsibly. In 2025, we strengthened operational efficiency, increased liquidity, reduced costume costs by half, and continued investing in the infrastructure needed to support long-term growth and deeper institutional integration.

None of this happens alone.

This report reflects the power of community. From healthcare teams and volunteers to corporate partners and monthly donors, every person who chooses to believe in this mission helps create a future where emotional wellbeing is treated as an essential part of care, not an afterthought.

As we look ahead, our focus remains clear: advancing psychosocial care through research, strengthening regional partnerships, increasing access to support, and continuing to build a model of care rooted in dignity, connection, and healing.
